1.2 - Garden Expanding

When we last left Emily, she'd just set foot in the Magic Realm!

With Emily not being a spellcaster, there's not really a great deal for her to do out here. I'm also a surprisingly lax phototaker at the moment, so there's nothing happening.

What she did do, however, was bump into Grace Anansi, her neighbour. They chatted it up for a bit, then I realised there really was no point Emily being here, so we left.

Summer is too hot for cats.

Whiskers clearly cannot cope.

Pumpkin, apparently trapping herself in the tiny bathroom decides to start chasing her tail, looking like an absolute loony tune.

Grace stops by at the same time as Caleb (he might be a random vampire visitor, but at least he's polite about it, unlike Vlad), and she and Emily sit down together for a game of chess.

Because there's nothing better to build friendship than chess.

Oh, and apparently more than friendship?

Autonomous woohoo is here and announcing her presence already.

Completely oblivious to the ~action~ going on inside, Caleb decides that even though Emily clearly doesn't want to invite him inside he's going to sit down and play chess.

What a very Caleb thing to do.

Emily's just out here trying to water her plants, but random NPCs just show up and let themselves into her 'greenhouse'.

Why not?

I honestly don't know who invited her out to the club at this point, or if I sent her myself.

My plan here is to (obviously) scope out the townies for someone cute!

She hasn't even been there for ten minutes before she's making flirty side eyes at little Joaquin.

It doesn't take long before the club vibe switches to flirty, and with one little nudge from yours truly, they're off.

... Maybe a little too quickly, if you ask me.

But hey, it's one way to get their fun up quickly, right!?

Honestly, I really like the ability to take pregnancy tests in TS4.

Though maybe one day I'll remember to turn down my risky woohoo settings before letting autonomous woohoo run rampant, so things like this don't happen. Joaquin isn't exactly my first choice, but we're here now!

This is the exact same thing that happened to me in my Movin' On Up save, so you would think I'd have learned by now. But alas, I am stupid.

Despite the club flirting and woohoo, Emily is thoroughly uninterested in Joaquin, so I decide that she can be my first ever single mother legacy founder.

She does have to have at least two children, so she can either call up Joaquin again, or we'll find her someone else.

With the driving rain and constant thunderstorms, gardening and walking the dog is practically impossible without Emily trying to run for cover every few minutes. I honestly can't say I blame her, I wouldn't want to be out in that either.

But poor Pumpkin still needs a walk, so the two of them are force to set off into the mud and rain for a short walk.

And when they finally make it back home, they then proceed to drip water all over a sleeping Whiskers.

Poor cat.

Rain and thunderstorms is the perfect book reading weather.

I found this animation adorable (Emily lifting her hand to keep the rain off her face and hunching her shoulders against it), though it's somewhat redundant given that she's wearing a giant hat.

At one point, despite knowing none of the members, Emily was invited to join Partihaus, and shows up to her first meeting with Paolo looking like this.

It's... a choice, honestly.

The best thing about being an outdoors lover is that Emily has so many cute interactions with plants. She just spends all her time in her garden socialising with her plants and not doing much else.

Kitty on the counter while Emily eats french toast! Also, Pumpkin recently developed a fascination with the toilet, so any time she's got free you can find her wandering off into the bathroom.

Both pets like to follow Emily into the garden to chill with her, which is honestly super adorable and a feature I love very much.

They also get on, which is cute!

Though they do fight occasionally, but that's to be expected.

Pumpkin is such a good girl!

Paolo keeps dropping by to talk to Emily; he also keeps ringing her up to invite her out to events and stuff, which is kind of cute? But also a little weird because she barely know him.

It's labour time!! Both pets are, naturally, very concerned about this.

Kitty watches over the first little baby, Aspen, while Pumpkin goes to investigate baby #2, Reid! His name is supposed to be like Reed, but I didn't want to spell it like that, so Reid it is.

Yes, Emily had twins. Normally I'd be mad, but because she actually needs to have at least 2 kids in the generation it works out! I don't have to find her another baby daddy, which is a big weight off my shoulders because I don't know the TS4 townies nearly as well as the TS3 ones!
